Carlos Barrios

Carlos Barrios possesses extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, currently serving as Technology Development Team Lead at ExxonMobil since 2004. In this role, Carlos oversees the development and implementation of Reservoir Simulation software, leveraging AGILE methodologies to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure the successful delivery of projects. Previous roles include Advance Reservoir Simulation Team Lead and Development and Workflows Interfaces Team Lead, where Carlos managed annual planning, deployment, and testing processes. Carlos’s earlier experience includes technical support roles in both ExxonMobil de Venezuela and Petróleos de Venezuela, focusing on system support and the development of advanced surveillance software. Carlos holds dual degrees in Mechanical Engineering and System Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, obtained between 1993 and 2001.
