Carlos Fernandez, PhD, is currently the Principal Non-Metallics Engineer and Non-Metallics Discipline Technology Lead at ExxonMobil, specializing in various aspects of non-metallic materials in the oil and gas industry. With previous experience at FlexSteel Pipeline Technologies, Inc and PDVSA Intevep, Carlos has a strong background in research, testing, and evaluation of coatings, elastomers, and plastics. Their educational background includes a PhD in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
