Celeste Izaguirre

Celeste Izaguirre is a Static Equipment Engineer at ExxonMobil, a position held since August 2025. Prior experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Autonomous Materials Systems Group at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where Celeste focused on synthesizing monomers and analyzing polymer properties through various testing methods. Earlier internships include Structures Engineering Intern at United Airlines, where documentation and engineering authorization for aircraft components were primary responsibilities, and Advanced Military Materials Behavior Intern at GE Aerospace, where material properties of polymer matrix composites were characterized. Celeste is also actively involved in professional organizations, having held leadership roles in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). Celeste obtained a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, following education at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy.
