Essefa De Melo is an experienced Audit Manager at EY, having joined in September 2021 after progressing through various roles, including Assistant Manager and Supervisor de auditoria. Responsibilities include the identification of significant risks, leadership and coaching of audit teams, review of internal control systems, and preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulations. Essefa has collaborated with major clients such as Vodacom and Millennium BIM, delivering presentations to boards of directors and engaging with IT audit teams to address technological issues. Prior experience includes roles at EY and as an internal auditor at Millennium BIM. Essefa holds a Master’s degree in auditing and finance from ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, as well as a Licentiate degree in management from the same institution.
