Jai G. Parekh, MD, MBA, FAAO has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and organizations. In 2023, they joined EyeCheq as the Executive VP/Chief Innovation Officer, where they currently hold the position.

Prior to EyeCheq, Dr. Parekh worked at Allergan from 2015 to 2020. During their time at Allergan, they held multiple roles including Global Key Opinion Leader, Vice President & Chief Medical Officer, Eye Care, VP, Eye Care & Dermatology; Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer, and VP, Eye Care; Global Therapy Head; Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer.

In 2020, Dr. Parekh also served as a Board Director (Independent) at Vinci Pharmaceuticals. Jai G. continued their involvement in various organizations, including serving as a Board of Directors (Treasurer) at Ophthalmic World Leaders (OWL) starting from 2019, and as a Board of Directors (Chair, Nominating Committee) at The Glaucoma Foundation starting from 2019.

Dr. Parekh has been an active member of the healthcare community, serving as an Executive Board Member/Co-Founder at EyeTrans Technologies since 2014. Jai G. also served on the Board of Advisors/LP at Excelerate Health Ventures, as an Executive Board Member at 1-800-DOCTORS, and as a Founding Member at both Cedars-Aspen Ophthalmology Society and AECOS (American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery) since 2011.

Jai G. Parekh, MD, MBA, FAAO, has an impressive education history. Jai G. first attended Boston University School of Medicine from 1985 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, specializing in Medicine. Following this, they completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 1993.

Parekh then pursued further specialization in Internal Medicine, completing their Residency at Tufts University School of Medicine from 1994 to 1997, where they served as the Chief Resident at the Lahey Clinic. Building upon this, they went on to complete an Ophthalmology Residency at Boston University School of Medicine from 1997 to 2000, once again holding the position of Chief Resident.

Notably, Parekh also pursued an MBA in Health Sector Management, Leadership, Strategy, Venture Capital, and Marketing from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, graduating in 2008. Jai G. furthered their education in business and innovation by attending the MIT Sloan School of Management, completing a Certificate Program in Artificial Intelligence in 2018 and Digital Business Strategy in 2019.
