Director Of Software and Technology at EZ Automation Systems

Nathanael Berglund has held a number of roles in the technology industry since 2002. From 2002 to 2009, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, instructing students in Calculus I, II, and III, and Calc III for Comp. Sci. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Development Engineer at ShapeStart Measurement Systems, Inc., where they worked on the research and development of custom 3-d scanners. Nathanael then moved on to 3dMD, where they served as a Systems Analyst from 2011 to 2013. In this role, they designed and researched feature measurement techniques for 3d imaging scans, re-designed an existing 3d imaging system to improve accuracy, designed custom LED driver circuits, and designed a custom optics element to improve upon existing element. From 2013 to 2017, they were the Lead Algorithm Engineer at United Sciences, LLC, designing a custom calibration system for a 3d imaging system, custom calibration techniques, equipment, and algorithms, and building prototypes of 3d imaging scanning system. Finally, from 2017 to present, they have been the Director of Software and Technology at EZ Automation Systems, where they define the technological strategy for each project, assesses technical risk and mitigation plan, and establishes standards and procedures to track and measure project's progression.

Nathanael Berglund began their educational journey in 1998 when they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics/Computer Science from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2002. Nathanael then continued their studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with a Master of Science in Mathematics in 2008.
