Sean Aitken

Sean Aitken has diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Sean is currently working as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Ezoic since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Charles Schwab from 2007 to 2022, serving as a Software Developer Lead. In this role, they were responsible for solution architecture, leading development teams for Schwab's automated investing product, and providing guidance on web UI development and services. Before joining Charles Schwab, Sean worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at Buxco Electronics from 2006 to 2007, developing a client/server WinForms application. Sean also worked at Tekelec as an IT Software Engineer and Analyst from 2001 to 2007, where they developed web and service-based solutions using Java and Windows technologies. Sean's earlier experiences include working as a Web Application Developer at Interlan in 2000, a Lead Developer at Planet-E Creations in 1999, and a Web Developer and Technician at Isaac Internet from 1997 to 1999.

Sean Aitken attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington from 1995 to 2000, where they studied Computer Science. Sean later pursued Simulation and Game Design at Wake Technical Community College from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their education, Sean has obtained certifications in AWS Essential Training for Developers, Blockchain: Beyond the Basics, and Swift 5 Essential Training from LinkedIn in 2022.
