Medical Director at Ezra

Carol DerSarkissian, MD has had a long and varied career in the medical field. Carol began their career in 2001 as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Phelps Memorial Hospital. In 2005, they moved to Sudler & Hennessey as a Vice President and Medical Strategy Director. In 2009, they founded Medical Advising for Patients. From 2013 to 2015, they were an Emergency Medicine Physician at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Medical Reviewer at WebMD. From 2017 to 2021, they were a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Langone Health. In 2021, they became CVS Minute Clinic Medical Director and in 2022 they became Medical Director at Ezra. In addition to their professional roles, they have also conducted research and authored reports related to women's health.

Carol DerSarkissian, MD began their educational journey in 1990 when they obtained their B.S. in Psychobiology from the University of Southern California. Carol then attended the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where they obtained their MD in 1998. Following this, they completed an Obstetrics & Gynecology Internship at Harvard University in 1999. Carol then went on to complete their Emergency Medicine Residency at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in 2002. Since then, they have obtained various medical licenses from the Connecticut Medical Examining Board, The Medical Board of California, New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, Florida Board of Medicine, NYSED, Office of the Professions, and American Board of Emergency Medicine. Carol also has a Diplomate from the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
