Akshay Sharma

Akshay Sharma is an accomplished engineering leader with over 12 years of experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at ezyCollect since April 2021, Akshay previously held several key positions at Qantas from March 2011 to April 2021, culminating as Senior Engineering Manager. In this role, Akshay led the engineering team responsible for designing and operating core services and systems for Qantas Wellbeing and Insurances. Akshay was integral to the inception, scaling, and delivery of various General Insurance product lines. Other positions held at Qantas include Engineering Manager for Backend Services, where Akshay managed the development of fault-tolerant micro-services, and Technology Lead and Senior Software Engineer, focusing on AWS infrastructure automation and fostering a robust DevOps culture.
