John Bowker

John Bowker has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. John most recently worked as a Head of Product Operations at ezyVet starting in August 2023. Previously, they held the role of Group Product Manager - Clinical and Diagnostics at the same company from June 2022 to August 2023. John also worked as a Lead Facilitator at COLAB from January 2022. Prior to that, they founded Plastic Kiwi in December 2018. Before becoming an entrepreneur, John worked as a Professional Speaker while being self-employed since April 2015. John also gained extensive experience at Xero, starting as a DevOps Team Leader in November 2014 and progressing to Group Product Manager - Data Portfolio from February 2020 to June 2022. In their role at Xero, John managed the data infrastructure and led the team responsible for migrating data to AWS. Before Xero, they worked at Gameloft as a Release Manager from March 2012 to October 2014. John's career began at Derivco where they held various roles including Build and Configure Poker Team Lead, Flash Prototype Developer, and Product Designer from 2005 to 2012. Prior to that, they worked briefly as a Graphic Designer at the Center for Skills Development and Technology Transfer and as an IT Manager at Telcorp.

John Bowker has a diverse education history. In 1995-1999, they obtained their High School Diploma from Northwood. John then pursued a Business Management Diploma from Damelin in 2000. Continuing their education, John completed a Diploma in Computer Science from CTI in 2003-2004. In 2007, they pursued an IADCS from NCC, focusing on IT. John further expanded their IT knowledge by completing a BSc in Business IT (Hons) from the University of Greenwich in 2009-2010. John also obtained certifications such as a CAPM (Certified Associate Project Manager) in 2008 from the Project Management Institute and a Product Fellowship from COLAB in 2021.
