Sean Murphy

Sean Murphy, PLA has over twenty years of work experience in landscape architecture and planning. Sean has held various leadership positions in reputable companies, including F.S. Scarbrough, LLC, where they served as Vice President of Technical Services. Sean also worked at Atwell, LLC as the Manager of Planning and Landscape Architecture for the Atlanta office, overseeing the southeast region. Prior to that, they were the Senior Project Director at RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture, where they helped establish a new office in Atlanta. Sean's experience also includes working as the Director of Design at B+C Studio, Managing Partner at The McLinden Group LLC, and Director of Planning and Landscape Architecture at Southeastern Engineering, Inc. Sean founded and led their own firm, Amenity Architects LLC, specializing in landscape architecture and planning services. Sean's expertise extends to residential, commercial, and public projects, with notable clients such as Post Properties and Roy Ashley & Associates. Overall, they have a strong background in land development and thorough knowledge of the industry.

Sean Murphy, PLA has a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University, which they obtained from 1989 to 1994. Sean also attended Edinburgh College of Art from 1991 to 1992 for further studies in Landscape Architecture. In 2000, Sean completed a Mini MBA Program at Kennesaw State University - Michael J. Coles College of Business. In terms of certifications, they hold various qualifications including Procore Certified: Project Manager (Core Tools) from Procore Technologies, Bicycle and Pedestrian Facility Design and Landscape Architecture for Transportation Projects from the Georgia Department of Transportation, and Certified Design Professional from the Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission. Sean is also a Certified Wetland Delineator and ISA Arborist certified by the USACE and the International Society of Arboriculture, respectively. Additionally, Sean is a LEED AP accredited by the USGBC.
