Abhishek Agarwal

Abhishek Agarwal has extensive work experience in the software and telecommunication industries. Abhishek'smost recent position is as a Principal Engineer at F5, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Cisco from 2018 to 2022, holding the roles of Software Engineering Technical Leader and Senior Software Development Engineer. At Cisco, they focused on design, development, and testing of telecom and data-com products, with expertise in C and Linux.

Before Cisco, Abhishek was employed at Ericsson from 2014 to 2018, where they held the positions of Senior Technical Lead and Technical Lead Engineer. During their time at Ericsson, they worked on dataplane software development for packet forwarding ASICs and implemented various L2/L3 protocols.

Abhishek also worked at AGNITY, Inc from 2012 to 2014 as a SMTS, where they were involved in the design and development of firmware for the WeMo line of products.

Prior to that, they worked at Tejas Networks from 2010 to 2012 as a Senior R&D Engineer, focusing on the development of carrier-class Multi Service Provisioning Platforms.

Abhishek's early career includes a position at CIENA from 2007 to 2010 as an Engineer-P&T. At CIENA, they worked on the CN4200 Advanced Services Platform and gained knowledge in optical technologies such as SONET/SDH, OTN, WDM, TDM, and DWDM.

Abhishek Agarwal completed a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology from 2003 to 2007. Currently, they are pursuing a Postgraduate Degree in Technology Leadership and Innovation from MIT xPRO, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
