Pengfei Sun

Pengfei Sun is an experienced security research leader with a strong background in developing innovative solutions for fraud and security detection. Currently serving as the Manager of Research Team at F5, Pengfei Sun leads initiatives to advance cutting-edge security research. Previous roles include Principal Research Scientist and Engineering Lead, where responsibilities included architecting a Real-time Fraud Engine and collaborating on various AI/ML projects. With four years as a Senior Research Scientist at Shape Security focusing on fraud detection, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Rutgers University, Pengfei Sun has also contributed to multiple research projects related to software and systems security throughout an extensive academic and professional career across notable institutions.
