Laxmi Uma Maheswar Rao

Laxmi Uma Maheswar Rao is a scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and biotechnology, currently employed at FabGennix International Inc. since April 2021, focusing on CRISPR technologies and antibody production. Prior to this role, Laxmi served as a Senior Research Associate at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Kansas State University, where work included CRISPR Cas9 library development for human viral infectious diseases and vaccine development. Laxmi's earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellow position at the University of Kansas Medical Center, studying bacterial infections and tumorigenesis, and as a Senior Scientific Officer at Panacea Biotech, specializing in JEV E-protein production for vaccine development. Laxmi holds a Ph.D. in Microbial Biotechnology from Delhi University and a postdoctoral research position in heat shock proteins from ICGEB.
