Scott McKaig JD, MBA, CMA

Scott McKaig has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Scott is currently employed as the CFO and General Counsel at Fabius Labs since June 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Finance at Hydra Host from April 2021. From June 2018 to August 2022, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel at Lincoln Network. Scott also has experience as an Adjunct Professor at Wake Tech Community College - Business Analytics from January 2017 to May 2019 and as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual from May 2017 to May 2018. Before that, they worked as a Contracting Officer/Strategic Sourcing Specialist at the North Carolina Department of Information Technology from March 2016 to January 2017 and as a Community Development Specialist at the Governor's Crime Commission from September 2015 to March 2016. Scott also served as a Legal Specialist at the North Carolina Department of Commerce from April 2015 to July 2015 and as a Proposals and Contracts Associate at Novella Clinical, Inc. from November 2014 to April 2015. Scott's work experience also includes their own practice, The McKaig Law Firm, where they worked as an Attorney/Consultant/Strategist from September 2008 to April 2015.

Scott McKaig obtained their JD from Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where they studied law from 2005 to 2008. In addition to their law degree, they also earned an MBA from Campbell University, The Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, specializing in Business Administration between 2006 and 2008. Prior to pursuing their higher education, Scott obtained a BA in English and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where they attended from 2001 to 2004. Scott completed their high school education at East Wake High School, receiving a High School Diploma between 1997 and 2001. Scott McKaig has also earned the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Certified Management Accountant: CMA® institution in April 2022.
