Hannes Bretschneider

Hannes Bretschneider, PhD, is a Machine Learning Scientist II at Fable Therapeutics since July 2022. Previously, Hannes served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Toronto from September 2011 to July 2022, co-supervised by Ben Blencowe and Quaid Morris. Hannes has extensive experience in research and development, co-founding Deep Genomics and holding positions such as Chief Software Architect and various intern roles at Microsoft and Yahoo! Labs. Hannes's academic background includes a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, an MSc in Statistics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and a BSc in Economics from the same university, supplemented by an exchange program focusing on Statistics and Computer Science at The University of British Columbia. Expertise includes numerical and statistical programming in Python, Matlab, R, and Stata, along with experience in data processing systems and economic consulting.
