Kento Sugama

Kento Sugama is a Software Engineer at DFINITY since June 2022, focusing on the Motoko smart contract compiler and the WebAssembly framework. Prior experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania for various computer science courses, such as CIS 233 (Introduction to Blockchain), CIS 121 (Data Structures and Algorithms), and CIS 110 (Introduction to Computer Programming). Kento also served as a Research Assistant on the Formal Compiler Verification project, working under Dr. Steve Zdancewic. An internship at Blizzard Entertainment involved architecting and implementing a telemetry data pipeline. Kento holds a Master of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science, both from the University of Pennsylvania.
