David Ballardo

David Ballardo has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and companies. David started their career at PriceGrabber.com as an Associate Software Engineer, where they learned Perl development and focused on operational tasks and backend technical support. David then moved on to become a Software Engineer, working on the development of a datafeed management and ingestion system. David later assumed the role of Senior Software Engineer at PriceGrabber.com, where they played a key role in migrating the product catalog importing system to a distributed event-based system.

In 2015, David joined Connexity through an acquisition, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included adding features to Java web applications and supporting Perl code from the acquired company, PriceGrabber. David also collaborated with their team to successfully migrate the PriceGrabber product catalog and core features into Connexity.

David transitioned to RevCascade in 2016, starting as a Senior Software Engineer. David played a crucial role in building and maintaining an integrations middleware that facilitated real-time information flow between RevCascade and customers' marketplace platforms. David subsequently became a Software Engineering Lead, overseeing a team and contributing to the development of various engineering processes. David then evolved into the role of VP of Engineering, where they provided leadership and support to the engineering team, participated in customer calls, and collaborated with co-founders.

In 2021, David's journey led him to fabric as the VP of Software Engineering. David led a cross-functional, international team of engineers, focused on availability, customer experience, and delivering high-quality code. David also designed and improved engineering best practices, on-call processes, and team culture.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to changing environments.
