Kareem Shaik began their career in 2015 as a Research Intern at UC Berkeley, where they developed a structured method using inherent symmetries of crystal systems to predict novel structures that are favored at Gigapascal pressures, resulting in a publication in Physical Review B. In 2016, they became a Lead Engineer at Magnitude.io. In 2019, they joined Fabric8Labs as a Principal Engineer, where they led the process development of their electrochemical additive manufacturing technology and helped develop their ability to produce deposits at industry-beating resolutions. Kareem also held a Mechanical Engineer role at Fabric8Labs.
Kareem Shaik attended University of California, Berkeley from 2014 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Planetary Science. Kareem then pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at UC San Diego from 2019 to 2021.
