Aparna Gala possesses extensive experience in research and development within the specialty chemicals industry, primarily at Privi Speciality Chemicals Ltd. and its affiliated companies. In the role of Deputy Manager at Privi Speciality Chemicals Ltd., Aparna led research initiatives focusing on microbial fermentation processes, process optimization, and technology transfer. Responsibilities included designing biocatalytic processes, developing fermentation methods, and conducting comprehensive data analysis and presentations. As Assistant Manager at Privi Organics India Ltd., Aparna developed a single-step bioprocess for bio-vanillin production, improved yield through strain enhancement, and streamlined downstream processing techniques. Earlier experience as a Research Scientist at Privi Organics Ltd. involved scaling up vanillin fermentation and optimizing media for microbial processes. Aparna holds a Master’s Degree in Bioprocess Technology from the Institute Of Chemical Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from Bombay College of Pharmacy.
