Claire M Benson

Claire M Benson is a System Compliance and Safety Officer at FABRUM and a Branch Council Member for the Institution of Fire Engineers in New Zealand since November 2021. With a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and a BSc in Forensic Science from London South Bank University, Claire possesses over a decade of expertise in fire safety, system safety, and fire investigation. Formerly a Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer at London South Bank University, Claire contributed to projects including the ENABLEH2 initiative focused on hydrogen safety in aviation and fire suppression systems in aircraft. Additional professional experience includes teaching mathematics and ICT skills, as well as engaging in science communication through theatrical projects.
