Gary McKay

Gary McKay has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Gary is currently serving as the Chief Product & Technology Officer at FundAdminChain (FAC) since September 2022. Prior to this role, they were a Strategic Advisor at FAC from November 2020 to September 2022.

Gary also founded APPII in February 2016 and holds the position of Founder. In May 2018, they became a Member of the Board at Fern Protocol until March 2022.

Before their entrepreneurial endeavors, Gary held various roles at Commonwealth Bank starting from August 2012. These roles include General Manager - Payments Architecture from March 2015 to September 2015, General Manager - Business and Architectural Engagement from January 2014 to September 2015, Head of Enterprise Architecture in 2013, and Enterprise Architect from August 2012 to January 2013.

Prior to their time at Commonwealth Bank, Gary worked at News Corp Australia as a Group Business Manager from June 2010 to July 2012. Before that, they served as an Associate and Expert Services at Booz and Company from February 2009 to May 2010.

Gary joined News Corp Australia in August 2002 and held various positions, including Enterprise Architect & Solution Architect from July 2005 to February 2009, and Specialist, CRM Business Solutions from August 2002 to July 2005.

Gary also has experience as the Founder of FOZZTER LIMITED, where they utilized augmented reality to disrupt the gaming industry from January 2006 to December 2008.

Gary started their career as a Senior Consultant in the CRM Service Line at Capgemini in December 1997 and worked there until August 2002.

Gary McKay completed their Master's degree in Business & Technology at AGSM @ UNSW Business School in 2015. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from Robert Gordon University between 1992 and 1997. In addition to their degrees, Gary holds a certification as a Siebel 7.8 Certified professional, which they obtained from Siebel in December 2005.
