Juan C. Parra

Juan C. Parra has worked in various roles since 2018. In 2022, they began working as a Data Engineer at Factored, and prior to that, they were a Data Engineer Trainee. In 2021, they worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst at Beat, where they developed and implemented pricing proposals for launching new services, used statistical methods and clustering techniques to improve established services, and retrieved data directly from the company data lake using SQL-Presto. In 2018, they worked as an Analytics Undergraduate Researcher at Universidad Industrial de Santander, where they completed a bibliometric analysis and developed a thesis on data mining techniques applied to Icfes Saber Pro tests. Juan C. also worked as a Statistics Teaching Assistant at the same university. In 2020, Juan worked as a Business Intelligence Intern at Electrificadora de Santander ESSA ESP, where they identified frauds in energy measurements and automated KPI tracking and metrics visualizations.

Juan C. Parra obtained a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander between 2016 and 2021, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering between 2014 and 2018. In 2021, they attended a Coding Bootcamp at Acámica, and in 2022 they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Software Development and a Graduate Diploma in Web Applications Development from Universidad del Norte. Additionally, Juan has obtained numerous certifications from various institutions, including dbt Labs, Snowflake, Amazon Web Services (AWS), freeCodeCamp, Astronomer, Udacity, Udemy, KodeKloud, LinkedIn, and Coursera.
