Ron Potter

Ron Potter has over 50 years of work experience in the field of robotics and automation. Ron started their career in 1969 at Auto Place Inc, where they served as the Chief Engineer and Vice President. Ron then co-founded Robotics Technology Inc/Robot Systems Inc in 1978, the first US-based robotic system integration company. In 1984, they joined Advanced Manufacturing Systems as the Vice President before moving on to co-found Creative Robotic Applications in 1988, where they served as the Co-Founder and President. From 1998 to 2004, they worked as the Director of Robotics Technology at Factory Automation Systems. Ron then joined Yaskawa Motoman Robotics in 2005 as the Sr. Director of Emerging Markets & Distribution, a position they held until 2008. Since 2009, they have been working as the Director of Robotics Technology at Factory Automation Systems, focusing on sales, marketing, system conceptual design, and project implementation of robotic material handling systems. Ron'sexpertise lies in machine tending systems, palletizing, packing, assembly, and reducing cost and risk in customer projects.

Ron Potter attended Michigan State University from 1964 to 1968, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
