Jesse Tandler

Jesse Tandler has extensive work experience in the education field. Jesse currently serves as a Lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles since January 2020. Prior to this, Jesse held the position of Managing Director at the New Roots Institute starting from August 2017. From June 2014 to December 2021, Jesse worked as the Vice President of Academic Programs at Jesse Tandler. Before that, they held various adjunct lecturer positions at Hunter College, Brooklyn College, and City University of New York, specializing in German, modern languages, literatures, and English. Jesse began their teaching career as an English Teacher at Bronx Preparatory Charter School until July 2010.

Jesse Tandler has a Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) degree in Comparative Literature from The Graduate Center, City University of New York. Prior to that, Jesse earned an MFA degree in Creative Writing, Fiction from The New School. Jesse also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in German Language and Literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
