Pieter van der Walt

Pieter van der Walt is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in sales, client management, and business development across the African and Middle Eastern markets. Currently serving as Associate Vice President - South Africa Sales at FactSet since July 2017, Pieter leads client coverage for Sub Sahara Africa, managing business relationships, achieving sales targets, and mentoring the local team. Prior roles include positions at FactSet such as Institutional Sales Head and Account Executive, where Pieter successfully built relationships with institutional clients and collaborated with global sales teams. Previous experience includes roles at Morningstar, GCI Wealth, Bloomberg LP, and a practical lecturer position at Stellenbosch University. Pieter holds a BComm (Hons) in Financial Analysis and has completed Level 1 of the CFA designation.
