Paddy Mathews has a robust career in heritage and tourism management, currently serving as the Head of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands at Fáilte Ireland since February 2006, where previous roles have included Head of Attractions, Head of Investment and Innovation, and Manager of Destination Development and the Environment Unit. Prior experience includes consulting as a Director at John Cronin & Associates from August 2003 to January 2006 and serving as a Planning Officer at The Heritage Council between September 1995 and July 2003. Educational qualifications include an MA in Heritage Management and a Higher Diploma in Heritage Management from University College Cork, a MA in Town and Country Planning from the University of the West of England, and a Certificate in Ecotourism from the Institute of Technology, Sligo. A foundational BA in English and Classics was obtained from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
