Behavioural Advisor - Ex-head Of Behavioural Science at Fair HQ

Bibi Groot has a diverse work experience in the field of behavioral science and research. Bibi currently serves as the Head of Behavioural Science at Fair HQ, where they ensure that all actions are backed by science. Fair HQ is a tech platform that promotes diversity and inclusion in startups, scale-ups, and VCs. Additionally, Groot is an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL Institute of Education. Bibi has also worked at CLOO Behavioral Insights Unit, where they held the positions of Behavioural Expert and Director of Research & Policy. At The Behavioural Insights Team, Groot served as a Policy & Research Advisor and Associate Advisor. Bibi has also worked as a Researcher at Eclipse Experience Ltd, focusing on design research across various sectors. Groot began their career as a Workshop Developer and Research Assistant at Universiteit Utrecht, where they developed workshops to ease the transition from secondary school to university. Furthermore, they started their own enterprise named Brain@Work(shop) and worked as a freelance workshop developer and trainer, providing effective study skills workshops to students.

Bibi Groot has a strong educational background in the field of psychology. Bibi began their education journey in 2010 at the University College Utrecht (UCU), University of Utrecht, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a focus on Social, Educational & Motivational Psychology. Bibi successfully completed their degree in 2013.

During their time at UCU, Bibi also had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and cultural understanding through an Erasmus Exchange semester at the University of Exeter in 2012. Bibi'sstudies during this period were specifically focused on Cultural and Social Psychology.

In 2012, Bibi further expanded their academic pursuits by attending the Global Citizenship Summer School at City, University of London. This program provided their with a solid foundation in various disciplines, including Law, Sociology, and History.

Seeking to deepen their expertise in psychology, Bibi pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Social Cognition at UCL from 2013 to 2014. During this time, they concentrated on the areas of Social Psychology and Organizational Psychology, further honing their skills and knowledge in these fields.

Bibi continued their academic journey at UCL, where they embarked on a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Behavioral Sciences. From 2015 to 2018, they dedicated their time to conducting research and studying various aspects of behavioral sciences to expand their understanding of human behavior.
