A leading educator in the state of Alaska, Timothy Doran has devoted their career to ensuring that all students have access to quality education. Timothy began their career as a teacher in the Bering Strait School District, where they quickly rose through the ranks to become principal. In 1990, they joined the faculty of the University of Alaska, where they taught courses in educational leadership. In 2016, they left academia to join the Palau Ministry of Education as a planning specialist. Timothy returned to Alaska the following year and currently serves as a board member for the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. Throughout their career, Doran has been a fierce advocate for educational equity and has worked tirelessly to close the achievement gap.
