Heather Havel

Heather Havel serves as the Network Operations and Security Manager at Fairbanks North Star Borough since November 2015, leading initiatives in cybersecurity, network modernization, and enterprise system automation. Havel's significant contributions include directing the Borough's cybersecurity management program and overseeing software implementations and policy revisions. Previously, Havel worked as a Programmer/Analyst, collaborating on ERP upgrades and supporting Central Square's ONESolution. Prior experience includes various roles at the University of Alaska, where skills in web programming and database management were honed, and positions at Valspar, Central Michigan University, and experience in system administration and report design. Educational credentials include an M.S. in Science Management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a B.S. in Computer Science from Central Michigan University.
