Daniele Perito

Co-Founder & Chief Data Officer at Faire

Daniele Perito is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Data Officer at Faire. Prior to this, they served as the Director of security and risk engineering at Square from September 2012 to January 2017. Daniele also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley from November 2011 to September 2012, where they focused on captcha security, security and privacy in web applications, and anti-abuse in online services. In 2010, Perito was a research visitor at Stanford University, where they worked on audio captchas design and evaluation. Daniele has also done research internships at UC Irvine and INRIA. Perito has also worked as an independent security consultant from March 2006 to April 2007.

Daniele Perito has a postdoc in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley. Daniele also has a Ph.D. in computer science from INRIA Grenoble - Rhône-Alpes. Daniele's MSc is in computer and network security from Sapienza Università di Roma. Daniele also has a BSc in computer and network security from Sapienza Università di Roma.
