Michael Mazzarella

Michael Mazzarella has extensive experience in education and data analysis. Currently serving as a Strategic Data Specialist and previously as a High School Mathematics Teacher at Fairfax County Public Schools since August 2011, Michael teaches various mathematics courses including Algebra I, Algebra II, and AP Statistics, while also acting as a Change Ambassador for Mathspace software. Additionally, Michael has worked as a Mathematics test item writer for the Human Resources Research Organization since November 2014 and has served as an Item Reviewer for The College Board from January 2020 to January 2023. Experience as an Adjunct Professor of Educational Research and Assessment at George Mason University from January 2018 to May 2021 and as a Mascot Coordinator at the University of Maryland College Park from January 2015 to June 2018 further highlights Michael's diverse professional background. Michael holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from George Mason University, a Master of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the same institution.
