Gisselle Acevedo

Gisselle Acevedo is an accomplished mental health professional and leader with extensive experience in various roles, including Adjunct Faculty at Fairfield University and private practice at GA Consulting since 2017, where counseling and psychotherapy services are provided. Previously, Gisselle served as President & CEO of the Ackerman Institute for the Family, enhancing research and clinical programs and collaborating with the Board. As Outpatient Therapist at the Child Guidance Center of Greater Bridgeport Inc, Gisselle implemented systemic approaches to family therapy. Gisselle's leadership experience includes serving as President & CEO of Para Los Niños, overseeing operations for a major educational non-profit, and as President & General Manager of Los Angeles Times Hoy, managing significant media operations. Gisselle's academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Fairfield University, a J.D. from Loyola Law School, and advanced degrees in Education.
