Meredith Smith

Meredith Smith is an accomplished educational administrator with extensive experience in residence life and higher education leadership. Since July 2010, Meredith has served as the Assistant Vice President and Director of the Office of Residence Life at Fairfield University, providing strategic direction with a focus on student engagement and retention. Additional roles at Fairfield University include Adjunct Faculty in the School of Education and Human Development and various leadership positions within the Office of Residence Life, where Meredith has implemented initiatives to support first-year and sophomore students and oversaw assessment practices. Previous experience includes roles at Wellesley College, the University of Maryland, and Georgetown University, along with a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration and Supervision from Fordham Graduate School of Education and a Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland.
