Yasamin Bayley

Graduate Engineering Geologist at Fairhurst

Yasamin Bayley is a Graduate Engineering Geologist at Fairhurst since March 2023, contributing to geo-environmental assessments and ground investigations within the Glasgow office. Prior experience includes serving as the CU GeoData Primary Team Lead at Cornell University College of Engineering, where Yasamin developed project plans for novel instrumentation and supervised project execution. As an Undergraduate Researcher in the Low-Temperature Geochemistry Lab, Yasamin investigated silica cycles using Ge/Si ratios from Middle Miocene diatoms. Yasamin has also led outdoor education programs and engaged in research at Shoals Marine Laboratory, focusing on data analysis related to sea ice and algal blooms. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Strategic Earth Resources from the University of St Andrews and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Cornell University.
