Ana Meneses

Ana Meneses has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ana is currently the Head of Business Development at FairJourney Biologics since June 2022, where they previously served as a Business Developer from March 2021 to June 2022. Prior to this, Ana worked at EY as a Senior Tax Consultant from October 2020 to March 2021, and as a Tax Consultant from September 2018 to September 2020.

Before their time at EY, Ana was involved in research work at Technische Universität Dresden. Ana served as a Research Assistant from April 2016 to December 2017, focusing on integrating the hypoxia and adrenergic responses in the adrenal gland in systemic inflammation. Ana was the main researcher in a project on the role of hypoxia mediators in adrenal gland function, responsible for resources management, experimental design and procedure, data analysis, and hypothesis formulation. Prior to this role, Ana worked as a Wissenschaftlicher Hilfskraft from September 2015 to March 2016, gaining experience in various laboratory techniques such as qPCR, western blotting, ELISA, and flow cytometry, among others.

Ana's career in research began with a Research Internship at Technische Universität Dresden from February 2014 to July 2015, where they developed key competencies in autonomy, time management, problem-solving, and resourcefulness. Ana successfully completed their MSc thesis during this internship period.

In 2013, Ana also completed a Research Internship at IBMC.INEB Associate Laboratory from February 2013 to July 2013, further enhancing their research skills and experience.

Ana Meneses has a Master's degree in Integrated Masters on Bioengineering, Molecular Biotechnology from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, completed between 2010 and 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Secondary Education in Sciences and Technologies from Escola Secundária Dr. Joaquim Gomes Ferreira Alves, completed between 2007 and 2010. In 2014, Ana also obtained a certification in FELASA B from Landesdirektion Sachsen.
