Daisy Selvakumar

Home Manager, Woodstown House at FAIRLIE HEALTHCARE LIMITED

Daisy joined Fairlie Healthcare in August 2013 as a Senior Charge Nurse overseeing a team of nurses looking after a 10 bed ventilator unit at Fairlie House, West Norwood. Within a short period of time she was promoted to Deputy Clinical Manager and in May 2016 Daisy became the Registered Home Manager for Fairlie House.

Since becoming an RGN in 1978 Daisy has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of critical care both in the UK and the Middle East in hospitals and premier care units, caring for patients with complex medical needs including ventilator support, spinal injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and multi-system failure. Daisy’s passion is education, training and mentoring.

Having helped the team at Fairlie to achieve ‘Outstanding’ status following the latest CQC inspection, Daisy has now taken up the challenge of being Registered Home Manager at the Group’s new specialist care facility, Woodstown House.

Additionally, Daisy organised and administered several community-based projects on behalf of the International Red Cross and Unicef in Cambodia, India, Tibet, Sudan, and several other countries. Daisy is committed to mentoring and developing her team, encouraging them to share best practice with their colleagues and continually improve the care and experience of the residents in their care.
