Shelly McGilvra

Shelly McGilvra has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shelly began their career as an HR Manager/Supervisor at RGIS from 1997 to 1999, where they maintained employee records, trained new employees, and supervised inventory teams.

From 2006 to 2008, Shelly served as the Membership Chairperson for the Aviano Officer and Civilian Spouses' Club, where they recruited and engaged new members, maintained records, and produced member packets.

Shelly then took on the role of Vice President at the Aviano Officers and Civilians Spouses' Club from 2008 to 2010. In that position, they supervised a board of 16 members, planned and organized events for a military community of over 5000 people, and oversaw a budget of over $100,000.

Moving into the healthcare industry, Shelly worked as the Marketing Director for the Kenneth Rozenberg - Centers for Specialty Care Group from 2013 to 2015. There, they marketed two skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, identified medical insurance policies, explained policies and benefits to residents, and verified eligibility for services.

In 2014, Shelly co-founded a professional healthcare working group called P.E.N., which consisted of over 75 members. In this role, they organized monthly meetings with educational speakers and networking opportunities, fostered relationships and partnerships, and worked towards better serving seniors in Steuben County.

Shelly then joined the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Member Services and Development from 2015 to 2016. In this role, they recruited 30 new members and maintained a 97.5% member retention rate.

Following that, Shelly worked at the American Diabetes Association as a Donor Relations professional from 2016 to 2017.

Most recently, Shelly has been with Faith Direct since 2017. Shelly started as a Customer Service Manager from 2017 to 2019 and then transitioned to the role of Client Relationship Manager from 2019 onwards.

Shelly McGilvra attended the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2010 to 2013. Shelly obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General studies. Prior to that, they studied at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College from 1999 to 2003 and earned an Associate's Degree in Business B.S. Preparatory. Additionally, Shelly pursued their passion for healthcare by attending Arnot Ogden Medical Center from 1983 to 1986, where they focused on Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.
