Mark Shashikant

Trauma Medical Director at Faith Regional Health Services

Mark Shashikant has extensive work experience in the field of plastic surgery. Mark started their career as a General Surgery Resident at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in 2002 and completed their residency in 2006. From 2007 to 2009, they served as a Plastic Surgery Fellow and Chief Resident in General Surgery at the same hospital. Following this, they joined the US Army as a Plastic Surgeon from 2009 to 2016. In 2016, they moved to Avera Medical Group Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where they worked as a Plastic Surgeon until 2021. Currently, they hold the positions of Trauma Medical Director and Plastic Surgeon at Faith Regional Health Services, starting in 2021.

Mark Shashikant has an extensive education history. Mark first attended American University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Following this, they enrolled at Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine and pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Physiology from 1996 to 1998. Continuing their education at the same institution, Mark completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medicine from 1998 to 2002.
