David Lawant

David Lawant has an extensive background in research and finance. David is currently the Head of Research at FalconX since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Research at Bitwise Asset Management from January 2020 to November 2022. David also held the position of Partner and Head of Research at Hashdex from April 2019 to January 2020. Before their roles in the cryptocurrency industry, David co-founded Iron Capital Serviços Financeiros Ltda. and served as the Head of Real Estate Investments from April 2015 to June 2016. David started their career as a Sell-Side Equity Research Analyst at Itaú BBA from May 2008 to February 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Real Estate Equity Research Analyst at J.P. Morgan from April 2007 to May 2008 and as an Equity Research Associate at Unibanco from January 2005 to April 2007.

David Lawant earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP in the years 1998 to 2004.
