Martha H. Johnston

Director of Education at Finance Authority of Maine

Martha H. Johnston has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry. Martha H. began their career in 1991 as the Financial Aid Director at Andover College. Martha H. then moved on to become the Director of Financial Aid at Maine College of Art in 1992. In 1995, Johnston was appointed Director of Financial Aid and Registrar at York County Community College. In 1997, they became the Associate Director of Financial Aid at the University of New England, and Acting Director of Financial Aid from 1999 to 2000. In 2000, they joined Citizens Bank as an Account Executive and Assistant Vice President of Education Finance, and later became Assistant Northeast Sales Manager and Vice President of Education Finance. In 2007, Johnston returned to the Finance Authority of Maine as the Director of Education Services and Outreach. Finally, in 2012 they were promoted to Vice President at RBS Citizens, N.A., and returned to the Finance Authority of Maine as Director of Education in 2014.

Martha H. Johnston attended Cottey College from 1985-1986, where they studied Liberal Arts. Martha H. then attended Mount Holyoke College from 1986-1989, where they earned a BA in Philosophy and Art History.
