Daniel Kern

Daniel Kern has extensive work experience in financial roles, primarily as a Chief Financial Officer. Daniel'smost recent role is as the Chief Financial Officer for Families in Transition since April 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at the Community Action Partnership of Strafford County from September 2020 to April 2023. Before that, they served as the Director of Finance at the COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM BELKNAP-MERRIMACK COUNTIES from July 2019 to September 2020.

Daniel also has experience as an Executive Director at Bear-Paw Regional Greenways from October 2004 to May 2019. Daniel held the position of Chief Financial Officer at HRCU - Holy Rosary Credit Union from May 2000 to September 2004. Daniel also served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer at HRCU from December 2003 to July 2004.

Earlier in their career, Daniel worked as an Assistant Treasurer & Comptroller at Beverly Cooperative Bank from May 1997 to May 2000, and as a Financial Analyst at Salem Five Cents Savings Bank from June 1996 to May 1997.

Daniel's early career experience includes roles such as a Treasury Analyst and an Accountant at PNC from May 1994 to June 1996. Daniel also worked as an Operations Officer/Liquidation Specialist and a Liquidation Technician at FDIC from October 1992 to May 1994.

Daniel's first job was as a Research Associate at Workers Compensation Research Institute from June 1990 to August 1991, where they conducted research, analyzed data, and contributed to publications.

Daniel Kern received their BA in Political Science from Plymouth State University from 1983 to 1988. Daniel then went on to pursue their MA in Economics of Money and Finance from Northeastern University, which they completed from 1988 to 1990.
