Tanisha Jones

Mental Health Technician at Family Centered Services of Alaska

Tanisha Jones has a diverse work experience. Tanisha started their career in 2012 as an Infant-Early Childhood Caregiver at the HIRED! Internship. Tanisha then worked as a Substitute Teacher at Kelly Services from September 2015 to May 2016. In 2016, they also started working as an Administrative Consultant at the Association of Sickle Cell-Lower Chattahoochee Region, where they provided administrative support, project management, and handled meeting and appointment scheduling. In 2018, Tanisha became a Behavioral Aid at New Life Center for Change and a Mental Health Technician at Family Centered Services of Alaska. Tanisha'smost recent role is as an Academic Tutor, which they started in September 2016 at Tanisha's Tutoring Services. Tanisha'sresponsibilities include scheduling sessions with students and parents, reviewing homework and test scores, and helping students with problem-solving and difficult subjects.

Tanisha Jones received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Troy University, which they obtained between the years 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College from 2015 to 2017 and obtained an Associate's degree in Science. Tanisha also attended Auburn University at Montgomery from 2013 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Psychology degree in the field of Psychology.

In addition to their formal education, Tanisha has obtained several certifications. In August 2016, they attained the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate from ACT. Tanisha also completed training programs such as Managing Secondary Stress: Difficult Families from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, Mental Health Consultation Training from Georgetown University Health Policy Institute Center for Children and Families, Stewards of Children: Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training from Darkness to Light, and Trauma 101 from the Colette Nicole, MSW - Child Welfare Training Collaborative Professional Excellence Program at Georgia State University's Andrew Young School of Policy Studies and School of Social Work.
