The CEO of Family & Children’s Services is Gail Lapidus, ACSW, LCSW, LMFT. Lapidus has over 40 years of experience in the field of human services and has served as the agency’s Executive Director since 1986. Under her leadership, F&CS has become one of Tulsa’s largest human service providers and instituted a range of award-winning and model programs.
Lapidus has held numerous leadership positions in Tulsa’s social service community and has served on many state-wide boards and task forces. In 1997, she was the inaugural inductee into the University of Oklahoma School of Social Work’s Hall of Fame.
Our tenured program leadership team champions a culture of agency excellence, employee support and positive work environment resulting in outstanding client care. The team consists of seasoned professionals with an array of expertise and various specializations in behavioral healthcare.

Family & Children’s Services is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic serving adults, children, and families in metro Tulsa. Since 1921, Family & Children's Services staff has restored children’s wellbeing, healed hurting and abused children, strengthened families and provided hope and a path to recovery for those dealing with serious mental illness and addiction.
