Sofie Lerut

Sofie Lerut is a partner at Roots Advocaten, holding this position since July 2017, while also being a team member at Het Familiebedrijf since 2005. Sofie serves as a guest lecturer and program advisor for family businesses and corporate governance at EHSAL Management School from 2014 to the present. In addition, Sofie is a board member at vzw Exalta since June 2021 and a fellow at The Family Firm Institute since October 2015. Previous experience includes serving as an attorney and associated partner at Eubelius from 2000 to July 2017 and as an attorney at Loeff Claeys Verbeke from 1995 to 2000. Sofie's educational background includes a Master in Law from KU Leuven, a DEA in Droit pénal from Paris-Pantheon-Assas University, and a Master's degree in European Law from the College of Europe.
