Valerie Holmes

Valerie Holmes has extensive experience in healthcare financial counseling, currently serving as a Financial Counselor at both Cardinal Glennon Hospital and SSM Health since August 2007. In this role, Valerie is responsible for collecting deductibles and co-pays, posting adjustments, and providing education to patients' parents about their insurance coverage. Valerie also screens patients for Medicaid and financial assistance while estimating costs for self-pay patients requiring surgical procedures. Previously, as a Lead Program Specialist at Family Health Care Center, responsibilities included educating patients' families about their insurance benefits and contracting with insurance companies. Valerie holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Health Information/Medical Records Technology from DeVry University, earned between 2008 and 2010.
