Metaxia Banning has a diverse work experience with various roles and responsibilities. Metaxia began their career as a Project Coordinator at the Classics Department in 2006. In 2008, they worked as an Assistant Lab Supervisor at Rutgers University until 2010. From 2009 to 2013, they managed Malelani Cafe. Metaxia then worked as an Instructional Aide at Linwood Seaview Elementary School for a brief period in 2013. In 2014, they served as a Scholar for the National Health Service Corps. Metaxia then joined Family HealthCare Network in 2016 as a Physician Assistant and gradually progressed to assume roles such as Assistant Medical Director, Clinical Director, and currently, Director of Clinical Integration. Throughout their career, they have gained extensive experience in various healthcare roles.

Metaxia Banning completed their Master's degree in Physician Assistant at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and French from Rutgers University between 2006 and 2010. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in 2016. In 2014, they also obtained ACLS and BLS certifications.
