Katie Heiss

Katie Heiss is an experienced social work professional currently serving as a KSSN Clinician at the Family Outreach Center since September 2021. Previously, Katie worked as a Social Work Intern at the Family Justice Center of St. Joseph County, where responsibilities included updating high-risk cases involving domestic violence and collaborating with staff on social justice outcomes. Earlier experience includes an internship with YWCA USA facilitating parenting time programs, volunteering with Healthwin to aid residents through the Music & Memory program, and working with students at the Notre Dame Center for Arts and Culture. Katie holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a focus in Criminology from Saint Mary's College.
