Robin S. Ortiz

Robin S. Ortiz Ph.D., is the Director of Business Development at Felton Institute in San Francisco, CA. Her responsibilities include management of grant submissions, fund development, and the incubation of new programs and services.

Robin holds a Ph.D. in child development and a Master’s in counseling. She has over 25 years of experience designing, managing, and evaluated social service programs specific to children’s mental health, juvenile justice, and child welfare.

Previously, Dr. Ortiz directed the first Community Umbrella Agency for child welfare in Philadelphia for the NET Community Care. Prior to that, Robin lectured in Applied Psychology in the Human Development Division for the University of Pennsylvania, and served as an Evaluation Consultant for Navin Associates.

Dr. Ortiz’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Tulsa, a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA, and a Ph.D. from the Eliot-Pearson School of Child Development at Tufts University in Massachusetts.

Now that her education is finally complete, Robin enjoys any outdoor activity, including hiking, kayaking, and beachcombing.
