Victim Advocate at Family Tree

Ashley O'Day is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in victim advocacy, criminal justice education, and mental health initiatives. Currently serving as a Teaching Assistant at Metropolitan State University of Denver, Ashley supports upper-level Criminal Justice courses and actively engages in creating educational materials. As a Restorative Justice Coalition Facilitator and Victim Advocate at The Blue Bench, Ashley provides compassionate support to survivors of sexual assault, facilitating prevention programs and emotional advocacy. Previous roles include serving as a Victim Compensation Specialist for the Arapahoe County District Attorney's Office and multiple victim advocacy positions through The Initiative Colorado and COVA. Ashley's commitment to improving mental health for youth is evidenced by involvement in children's mental health advocacy at Children's Hospital Colorado. Currently pursuing a degree in Criminology and Social Work, with a focus on Trauma Studies and Legal Studies, Ashley continues to contribute to the field with a strong foundation in education and advocacy.
